CAD Designer | Halston Dresses & Sportswear

Location (On-Site): New York City; Midtown Manhattan - Fashion District

Position Overview:

We are seeking a CAD Designer with strong expertise in print design to join the Halston Dresses and Sportswear team. The ideal candidate should have a refined design sensibility and a strong ability to translate creative concepts into detailed, production-ready artwork. This role is critical in maintaining the high-quality standards and innovative vision that define the Halston brand.

Key Accountabilities:

• Partner with design team in creating and developing new prints and graphics for dresses and sportswear collections.
• Present color and strategy by season with design team.
• Review art studios, purchase, and manage art library.
• Create cost effective layouts for production as well as multiple colorways for each print.
• Communicate with mills to ensure timely development of strike offs and sample yardage.
• Aid in the development of sales tools for market appointments.
• Follow development calendars ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Manage copyright and studio invoices.

Education and Experience:

· 7+ years of CAD design experience in women’s fashion, preferably in dresses, sportswear or contemporary apparel

· Proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator

· Attention to detail with a strong sense of color

· Understanding of mill practices/textile design/print techniques

· Ability to work independently and in teams, multitask and take initiative

· Must be able to work in an extremely fast paced environment

· Experience in a high SKU environment

The pay range for this position is: $75,000 per year - $90,000 per year
