Job Description

Petroplan is working exclusively with a leading energy company. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Corporate Finance professional to join this team in a high-impact role. The title will depend on the experience level.

Position Overview:

You will play a key part in advancing the company’s strategic initiatives, managing investor and stakeholder relationships, and delivering essential financial and market insights to our executive team and board of directors.This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, combines strong analytical skills with clear communication, and has a genuine passion for the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain corporate financial models.
  • Lead the evaluation of investment opportunities, including capital expenditures, acquisitions, and strategic projects.
  • Conduct detailed financial modeling, scenario planning, and sensitivity analysis to assess returns and risks.
  • Develop and present investment business cases to senior leadership and the board.
  • Support financing initiatives by working with banks, investors, and financial institutions to secure capital for existing operations and growth.
  • Ensure compliance with financial covenants and obligations under current financing agreements.
  • Partner with leadership to provide insights and recommendations that drive strategic decision-making.
  • Lead the preparation of financial reports, forecasts, budgets, and long-range projections.
  • Monitor financial performance versus budget/forecast and deliver variance analysis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience in M&A, financial analysis, and corporate financial planning.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, or a related field
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, and financial reporting tools.
  • Experience in Energy
