Job Description

While ITA Group operates on a high level of flexibility, this position requires the ability to work on-site in our West Des Moines, IA office.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

At ITA Group, our Data Analysts don’t just crunch numbers - they uncover the “why” behind the data to drive smarter decisions and stronger results. In this role, you’ll transform raw information into meaningful insights that help both ITA Group and our clients understand how programs spark engagement and fuel business success.

You’ll be a key player in positioning ITA Group as a trusted strategic partner. Whether it’s identifying the right questions, digging into data, or telling a compelling story with your findings, your work will shape strategies and inspire action.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

We’re looking for someone capable of delivering significant business impact, who meets the following criteria:

Technical Expertise:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, MIS, Business Management or a related field.
  • 3+ years of data analysis experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel for data manipulation and modeling and Data visualization tools—Power BI preferred; Tableau or Looker.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and transformation and Python or R for statistical analysis and automation.
  • Understanding of natural language processing (NLP) techniques for analyzing unstructured data (e.g., customer feedback, social media).
  • Exposure to AI-enhanced BI tools (e.g., Power BI with Copilot, Tableau Pulse, ThoughtSpot).
  • Experience working with data engineering teams, data pipelines, and data warehouse architecture.
  • Familiarity with project management tools like Jira, Confluence, or Workfront and version control and workflow tools.

Business and Strategic Acumen:

  • Proven ability to translate data into actionable insights that influence business decisions.
  • Strong understanding of business strategy and operations.
  • Ability to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies and connect them to business outcomes.
  • Strategic thinker who can visualize the ideal state and map the path to get there.
  • Experience engaging with executive stakeholders.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Experienced in developing polished, professional presentations in PowerPoint to communicate insights, trends and recommendations.
  • Skilled in translating data into clear, engaging stories through verbal presentations tailored to non-technical audiences.
  • A natural collaborator who thrives in cross-functional environments.

  • Demonstrated success in collaborating with cross-functional teams to accomplish a common goal.
  • Industry-specific analytics experience in Automotive, Technology, Financial Services, Healthcare, Manufacturing, or Retail.
  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts (e.g., supervised/unsupervised learning, model evaluation, feature engineering).
  • Ability to interpret and communicate the implications of AI model outputs to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience developing and operationalizing AI models that improved business performance, optimized processes, or unlocked new insights.
