Job Title: Dispatcher

Employment Type: Perm

Pay Rate: $24.00–$25.00 per hour

Location: South St Paul

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Dispatcher to support daily logistics and customer service operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment, coordinating transportation, and maintaining inventory records. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming calls and route them to appropriate personnel
  • Schedule and dispatch deliveries to meet customer service goals
  • Coordinate with contract haulers and assign delivery routes
  • Generate and manage pick tickets, delivery tickets, and silo tracking
  • Enter orders, transfers, material receipts, and inventory counts into ERP systems (e.g., Sage MAS 500, NetSuite)
  • Reconcile inventory and maintain accurate reporting
  • Scan and file delivery documentation and match tickets for recordkeeping
  • Provide responsive customer service and order status updates
  • Process product orders via phone, fax, and email
  • Collaborate with internal departments (HR, IT, Accounting) to ensure accurate record submission
  • Support sales team in maximizing on-time deliveries
  • Order and maintain office and safety supplies
  • Assist in ordering and tracking raw and resale materials
  • Maintain data logs for production and quality tracking
  • Process invoices and coordinate with Accounts Payable for timely payments
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Logistics Manager or Corporate Management

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Fast and accurate data entry capabilities
  • Prior dispatching or customer service experience in construction materials is a plus
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Basic math skills, including percentages
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
  • High school diploma or GED required
