Engineering Technician – Level 1

Milwaukee, WI (Onsite)

6-Month Contract

We are seeking an Engineering Technician to support development lab operations for low voltage motor control centers. This role is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on technical skills who enjoys problem-solving, working with tools, and collaborating across engineering teams.

What You’ll Do:

• Assemble and modify low voltage motor control centers per engineering specifications for short circuit, arc fault, and thermal testing.
• Maintain test documentation and prepare reports.
• Work closely with local and global engineering teams to complete projects on time.
• Initiate, track, and close out work orders.
• Interpret blueprints and schematics to guide assembly and testing.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, cranes, hoists, and other material handling equipment.
• Collect test data and assist with parts ordering, inventory, and lab organization.
• Maintain lab equipment, calibration schedules, and coordinate with EHS on safety compliance.

What We’re Looking For:

• Familiarity with power distribution equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Strong hands-on mechanical skills with tools and equipment.
• Ability to adapt and work in a dynamic environment.
• Technical school training or equivalent experience (1 year).
