Job Description

Position Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Estimator to join our team. At SWAT, an Estimator predicts the cost, time, labor, and materials needed for a project. Their main role is to provide accurate estimates to help businesses plan, budget, and bid on projects.

Schedule:

Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Location: Corporate Office-based; minimal regular travel required

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare proposals including cost, technical, and commercial responses.
• Generate technical submittals required by client.
• Complete accurate takeoffs of piping, equipment and steel.
• Correctly interpret specifications for materials and labor pricing purposes.
• Apply work breakdown structures elements to estimate as required by client and as necessary for future use once awarded.
• Contact subcontractors, suppliers, and specialty services for quotes.
• Attend pre-bid meetings in client facilities.
• Assist in schedule preparation and analysis, execution plan development, and risk analysis.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in relative industrial estimating experience, with familiarity in turnarounds or mechanical projects
• General Knowledge of structural, mechanical and/or piping craft scopes of work.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents (P&IDs, ISO drawings, scopes of work)
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
• Strong Microsoft office (Excel), word documents and Adobe skills.
• Valid driver’s license

Working Conditions:

• Normal office environment with standard business hours
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods
• Minimal physical demands beyond standard office work
