Job Summary: Financial Accounting Manager

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina

Salary: $130,000

A technology partner to healthcare and research institutions is hiring a Financial Accounting Manager to lead accounting operations and ensure compliance with GAAP and IFRS standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and reconcile monthly/annual financial statements (GAAP & IFRS).
• Manage audits, tax processes (VAT, corporate tax, transfer pricing), and fixed asset reporting.
• Oversee AP/AR, payroll, and financial management systems (e.g., Concur).
• Drive improvements in accounting policies, controls, and global compliance.
• Lead and develop a team, ensuring accurate and timely closings.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve cost efficiency and working capital.
• Support strategic decisions and internal control enhancements.

Authority & Leadership:

• Act as a strategic partner to senior leadership.
• Lead KPIs, performance improvements, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Oversee critical accounting functions, including close processes and tax compliance.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and innovation.

Requirements:

• 5–7 years’ leadership experience in manufacturing accounting.
• CPA preferred; Bachelor's in accounting required (Master’s preferred).
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS (esp. IFRS 9, 15, 16).
• Experience with SAP R3 or S4/HANA (3+ years).
• Proficient in Excel; familiarity with Hyperion, Tagetik, AFO, BW, etc., is a plus.
• Skilled in financial systems implementation and analytical problem-solving.
• Strong communication and discretion with sensitive data.
