Job Description

Our technology client in NYC is in search of a Growth Product Manager to drive user acquisition, activation, retention and monetization for their consumer-facing mobile app for the sports industry. You will lead high-impact initiatives across the growth funnel, partnering with cross-functional teams to experiment, iterate and scale features that accelerate user and revenue growth. This is a temporary/contract role and is on-site in Midtown Manhattan. As a key member of the Product team, you will use data and user insights to uncover opportunities, launch experiments and optimize the experience across the user journey—from onboarding to habit formation to referrals.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the product roadmap for growth initiatives, focusing on acquisition, activation, engagement, retention and monetization
  • Partner closely with marketing, engineering, data science and design to develop and test high-impact growth experiments
  • Analyze user behavior, funnel performance and experiment results to identify actionable insights and growth opportunities
  • Own key growth metrics (e.g., sign-up rate, Day 1/7/30 retention, conversion to paid, LTV) and deliver measurable improvements
  • Lead A/B testing, multivariate testing and iterative experimentation to optimize key user flows such as onboarding, paywalls, referrals and re-engagement campaigns
  • Collaborate with the product marketing team to improve paid and organic user acquisition through better product-channel alignment
  • Work with data analysts to build dashboards and reporting systems that track performance and surface insights in real time
  • Stay current with industry trends and competitor growth strategies to inform roadmap decisions

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years focused on growth for a consumer mobile app
  • Strong understanding of the consumer app landscape, mobile growth levers and product-led growth principles
  • Demonstrated success running A/B tests and driving measurable improvements in user behavior or business outcomes
  • Data-driven mindset with proficiency in tools like Amplitude, Braze, Appsflyer or similar platforms
  • Experience collaborating with marketing, design and engineering teams in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Passion for building delightful user experiences that deliver business results
