Langan’s is a well-established New York City restaurant located in the heart of Midtown. Known for its welcoming atmosphere, quality food, and attentive service, we pride ourselves on creating a memorable dining experience for every guest. Job Summary

The Host is the first and last point of contact for our guests and plays a key role in setting the tone for their dining experience. This position requires a friendly, organized, and professional individual who can manage guest flow while delivering exceptional hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and thank them as they depart

• Manage reservations and walk-in seating efficiently

• Maintain accurate wait times and communicate clearly with guests

• Coordinate with servers and management to ensure smooth table rotation

• Answer phones and assist with basic guest inquiries

• Maintain a clean, organized host stand and entrance area

• Assist with special guest requests when possible

• Uphold Langan’s standards of hospitality and professionalism at all times

Requirements

• Previous hosting or customer service experience preferred

• Bonus: Familiarity with OpenTable or similar reservation software

• Fluent in English (spoken and written)

• Full availability and schedule flexibility is a must, including nights, weekends, and holidays

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to remain calm and organized in a fast-paced environment

• Professional appearance and positive attitude

• Strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities
