Job Description
Maintenance Technician Position Overview The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure that facilities and equipment are in optimal working condition. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, and various appliances while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency across the facility.
Key Responsibilities - Conduct routine maintenance checks and repairs on building systems including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
- Perform appliance repairs and ensure all equipment is functioning efficiently.
- Manage locks and keys, including re-keying and lock replacement as necessary.
- Assist with basic carpentry tasks and other general repairs around the facility.
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of the premises through janitorial duties and painting and drywall repair.
- Oversee facilities maintenance tasks to ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.
- Participate in grounds maintenance, including snow removal and landscaping as needed.
- Utilize Tough Tech and Building Engines Software for maintenance management and reporting.
Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in maintenance-related fields preferred.
- Proven experience in maintenance roles with skills in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliance repair.
- Basic knowledge of carpentry, janitorial services, and drywall repair.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance best practices and safety protocols.
- EPA HVAC certification
