Job Description

The Owner’s Representative is a skilled, highly motivated, and detail-oriented professional who manages and oversees large-scale construction projects. The ideal candidate has extensive experience working with high-net-worth families and luxury properties, ensuring exceptional quality and discretion throughout the project lifecycle. The Owner’s Representative effectively manages and coordinates activities, projects, and available resources to accomplish objectives set forth by the Principal. The Owner’s Representative possesses the ability to adapt to changing needs, as well as the demonstrated ability to collaborate across multiple teams. A high level of organization and attention to detail with an ability to manage numerous projects in unison.

This role requires experience with multi-million dollar greenfield/ground-up construction project experience.

The Owners Representative will be responsible for the maintenance, service, and safety of residential structural operations including the following:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Primary liaison between the property, the family, architects, contractors, engineers, and other project stakeholders.
  • Oversee the planning, budgeting, and execution of all construction and projects across properties.
  • Identify potential construction risks, implement mitigation strategies and ensure all projects are insured properly.
  • Acts as a point person for any construction related emergencies or urgent repairs requiring immediate action.
  • Review and negotiate contract proposals to ensure cost-effectiveness with the family’s vision.
  • Regularly monitor the timeline of projects and proactively address delays or issues.
  • Ensure proper safety operation instructions are maintained and adhered to for all equipment.
  • Oversee contractor relationships including contractor selection, negotiation of services and material bids, and invoice approval.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to confirm work quality and compliance specifications.

Reporting:

  • Provide daily/weekly reporting to principal.
  • Submit purchasing report to principal.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have 10+ years of experience in high-end residential construction management or related role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Architecture, engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of construction process, building materials, and architectural design.
  • Exceptional leadership with a focus on team collaboration and guidance in scheduling.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel for reporting needs.
  • Excellent organizational, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Impeccable attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with a high level of confidentiality.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be available on holidays and weekends for staffing needs and/or emergencies.
  • Some travel to inspect and manage projects.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
