We’re a fast-growing CPG startup backed by top investors, with operations in the U.S. and Canada. Our team includes both in-office employees in Austin and remote teammates across North America, and we’re united by speed, execution, and culture. We’re scrappy, ambitious, and focused on building a brand and company we’re proud of.

About the Role

We’re seeking a hands-on, friendly, and systems-minded People Manager to oversee onboarding, off-boarding, payroll, benefits, and the full employee lifecycle across both U.S. and Canadian teams. Based full-time in our Austin office, you’ll play a key role in shaping the employee experience and supporting our distributed team.

Role Descriptions

  • Manage end-to-end onboarding and off-boarding for U.S. and Canadian employees—including IT setup, system access, and workspace readiness.
  • Administer offer letters, compensation packages, and new hire documentation, ensuring all employee-facing resources (e.g., handbooks, process flows) are clean, accurate, and accessible.
  • Oversee payroll and benefits administration for both U.S. and Canadian employees, ensuring compliance in both markets.
  • Maintain and optimize HRIS (Paylocity and other systems) and support accurate reporting across HR functions.
  • Develop scalable templates, checklists, and workflows to streamline and standardize HR processes across regions.
  • Lead or co-lead bi-annual performance reviews, including planning, documentation, and execution.
  • Partner with leadership to proactively flag issues and foster a strong, positive company culture for both in-office and remote employees.

Qualifications

  • Solid experience in HR or People Operations, including payroll, benefits, and compliance in both the U.S. and Canada.
  • Proven ability to manage onboarding, offboarding, and HRIS tools (Paylocity experience a plus).
  • Comfortable wearing many hats—from administrative duties to culture-building.
  • Strong attention to detail, systems orientation, and ability to drive consistency across distributed teams.

Must be based in Austin, TX and work full-time in-office, while supporting remote teammates across North America.

What We Offer

  • Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 base, depending on experience.
  • Equity: Stock option grants, so you share in the company’s upside.
  • Benefits: Health, dental, and vision coverage; flexible time off policy; evolving benefits package as we grow.
  • Culture: A fast-paced, collaborative environment where your work directly shapes the growth of the company.
  • Perks: In-office snacks, team events, and the chance to be part of a mission-driven, high-growth startup.
