About God Behind Bars: God Behind Bars is a Christian non-profit organization founded in 2009. Our vision is to partner with churches, community organizations, and faith-based ministries to provide high-quality worship experiences, small groups, family reunification practices, and effective reentry programs around the world.
Our goals are transformational:
● Introduce inmates and their families to Christ
● Disciple inmates to build a strong faith foundation
● Provide quality recovery programming to help overcome hurts, habits, and hang-ups
● Prepare inmates with life and professional skills prior to release
● Walk alongside ex-offenders after release to ensure a successful transition
● Provide employment opportunities for inmates and/or their families
Position Summary: Programs Coordinator
The Programs Coordinator is responsible for managing the entire launch process with new churches, the department of corrections, and the installation team. Secondly, maintaining existing relationships with church partners.
Key Responsibilities
Operations
Campus Launches: Once a prison and church partner are secured, the Programs Coordinator will oversee full campus implementation, including:
● Coordinating with installers to purchase, build and install equipment
● Working with the Department of Corrections to secure launch approvals and align with prison leadership on all logistics, and volunteer processing.
● Collaborating with the Church Champion and GBB Programs team to train the church for launch, ensuring a clear understanding of the God Behind Bars Program and the Department of Corrections guidelines.
● Manage tools such as HubSpot, Basecamp, Notion, and other relevant platforms
Partner Management
● Develop systems that foster effective relationships with church partners
● Assist with quarterly Champion calls
● Coordinate equipment replacement with integrators
● Communicate with chaplains on behalf of church partners
● Conduct site visits as needed
● Present to groups in person and on camera to support partner training
● Travel occasionally as required
Team & Administrative Responsibilities
● Respond to emails in a timely and professional manner
● Exhibit strong administrative and time management skills
● Maintain a motivated, growth-oriented attitude
● Cultivate healthy working relationships with ministry leaders and teammates
● Maintain a neat and professional appearance
● Adapt quickly and work effectively in a dynamic environment
● Possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted driver’s license
