Job Description

Quality Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Coordinator to join our engineering team. This role will primarily support Engineering with review of vendor data books (manufacturing record books) and support the continual improvement of quality management systems (QMS) within Engineering and Design. The ideal candidate has experience assembling and/or reviewing data books and understands how to verify material test reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vendor data book review with focus on welding requirements and records, NDE requirements, Inspection and Test Plan records, material traceability records with PMI as applicable.
  • Assist in the documentation, and maintenance of quality processes and procedures in compliance with ISO 9001 and other applicable standards.
  • Maintain and update quality records, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) logs.
  • Support root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts for process or product non-conformities.
  • Monitor quality metrics and prepare regular reports on performance trends and improvement initiatives.
  • Provide support to staff on quality-related procedures and best practices.
  • Assist with supplier evaluations and manage supplier quality performance data.
  • Participate in continual improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in a quality assurance or coordination role, preferably within an engineering or technical environment. (Receiving QC inspector experience is a plus.)
  • Experience with manufacturing documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Word / Excel / Outlook / PowerPoint
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
  • Working knowledge of quality systems such as ISO 9001 or other industry standards.
  • Familiarity with document control systems and audit processes.
  • Technical writing and proofreading capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of industry-specific codes, regulations, or certifications (ASNT, ISO, ).
  • Internal auditor certification or formal training in quality systems.
