BEPC is actively seeking a Research & Development Engineer to join our team in the Redmond, WA area!

W2 contract: 6 months w/ possible extensions

Pay rate: $45-$55/hr

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be a US Citizen
• Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty (Chemistry, Material Science, Physics, Chemical Engineer, etc)
• 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area
• Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
• Background in Material Science, Process Engineering, Chemistry, and/or Chemical Engineering

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

• This position will support the development of products/processes for the Defense industry
• Expertise with some/all of the following process disciplines is desired: wet etch/clean, metal braze, application of epoxy, wire bond, and associated test equipment
• May evaluate products, parts, or processes for cost efficiency and reliability and ensure project completion
• Works with other members of the engineering staff to ensure that development is completed in a timely manner
• Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Conducts research and development activities for an organization
• Applies research theories, principles, and models when conducting experiments and research activities
• Responsible for summarizing research results and communicating findings to internal and external bodies
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Performs a variety of complicated tasks
• Leads and directs the work of others
• Typically reports to top management
