Ballinger Group is a leading provider of FX Treasury services, specializing in assisting clients with the mitigation of currency risk through tailored solutions. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our Risk Management Team in Malta as a Risk Analyst.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and analyse credit risk associated with clients seeking FX Treasury services.
Evaluate financial statements and other relevant information to determine creditworthiness.
Prepare comprehensive credit risk reports, outlining key findings and recommendations.
Provide recommendations on whether to grant credit facilities to clients.
Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary information for informed decision-making.
ERM Policy and Procedure Development and Review.
Assist in meeting DORA requirements throughout 2024 to ensure compliance with regulations.
ERM Risk assessment, involving the analysis, identification, description, and measurement of risks affecting our entity, documented in a risk register.
Conduct regular risk and control self-assessment exercises with risk owners and control owners.
Recommend and set internal risk controls for day-to-day business management.
Risk reporting, including risk metrics, Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), dashboards, and emerging risks.
Work closely with the Risk Manager and other team members to support various risk management initiatives.
Assist with maintaining and improving our Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) solution.
The Ideal Candidate:
Fluent in English.
Experience working in risk management roles in the financial services industry, preferably within the investment services sector.
Possession of a recognized degree in a related field.
Ability to work in a team, as well as on own initiative.
Meticulous and organized, with great attention to detail.
Familiarity with the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA)
Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of business continuity planning and disaster recovery planning, emphasizing the ability to navigate and mitigate potential risks effectively.
