Senior Bartender – Santa Fe Spirits

We're looking for a senior bartender to join us at our tasting room.

As our senior bartender, you’ll be responsible for leading bar service during assigned shifts, overseeing bar staff, monitoring inventory levels, and upholding Santa Fe Spirits’ standards for an unforgettable guest experience. Whether you’re training the staff on a new specialty cocktail, educating guests about our brand, or assisting with inventory management, you’ll play a key role in the future of Santa Fe Spirits.

COMPENSATION & HOURS

• Compensation: $24 - $28+ per hour, plus tips
• Eligible to participate in company benefits programs
• Seeking candidates who can work 25-30 hours per week (afternoons and evenings, from Wednesday or Thursday through Sunday)
• Target Start Date: ASAP

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operational Oversight
• Lead bar operations while on-site, and ensure staff uphold excellent customer service, operational procedures, and health & safety standards at all times
• Monitor inventory levels and work with management to restock supplies as needed
• Oversee staff scheduling to ensure coverage for weekly operational activities (bar service shifts, trash/recycling, grocery pickup, etc.)
• Train new staff on cocktail execution, operational protocols, and quality standards
• Curate the Guest Experience
• Develop strong understanding of Santa Fe Spirits products to educate guests, lead tastings, make recommendations
• Engage with guests through warm welcomes, high-touch service, and conversation
• Assist with cocktail classes or other tasting room events, as needed

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• 3+ years of relevant experience bartending, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or management role
• Excellent knowledge of spirits, cocktails, beer, wine, and bar operations (drink recipes, glassware, brand names, mixology techniques)
• Strong ability to engage with customers while operating equipment and preparing cocktails
• Proficiency with POS systems and Microsoft Office suite
• Values and embodies creativity, excellence, integrity, responsibility, and professionalism
• Excellent communication and listening skills, with ability to train team members on recipes and standard operating procedures
• Graceful under pressure and enjoys working in a fast-paced setting
• Familiarity with Santa Fe and its tourist and hospitality attractions (restaurants, hotels, points of interest, etc.)
• Willingness to perform other duties as required that are necessary to support the business

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Knowledge of New Mexico State alcohol laws and responsible serving
• Available to work flexible hours, which include evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Able to stand for 5-8 hour shifts and lift up to 50 lbs safely as needed
• Current Food Handler and Alcohol Server certifications (or ability to obtain quickly)
