We are seeking candidates for a Truss Designer position on the 1st shift. Compensation for this direct-hire role is $60,000-$74,000 per year. Interested? Learn more below!

What a Truss Designer will do:

• Estimate, design, and analyze trusses in a timely manner, which meet all applicable building codes, commonly accepted construction standards, and customer expectations
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance in accordance with work schedule and workload
• Provide efficient, accurate, and economical resolutions to customer issues
• Consistently demonstrate an effort to maintain an efficient and organized working environment
• Review and analyze technical data, structural calculations, and specifications
• Collaborate with outside, cross-functional teams such as architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure accurate information flow and design implementation
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing other tasks to meet deadlines
• Identify areas for estimate and design improvements and recommend solutions
• Communicate effectively with all other team members and employees (managers, design colleagues, sales staff, delivery, and build crew)
• Maintain detailed records and reports on a job-to-job basis

What you need to be a Truss Designer:

• Prior truss design and experience with MiTek software preferred
• Ability to read and understand residential and commercial blueprints
• Understanding engineering and design principles, building codes, and construction practices
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Willingness to meet with customers at their locations as needed
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment
• General knowledge of the construction industry
