Grocery Manager

Location: Baldwin, NY | Compensation: $50,000-$65,000 per year | Full-Time | 21+ Years Old

About the Role

As Grocery Manager, you’ll be the strategic leader of the center store — responsible for ensuring your department is merchandised, stocked, and running efficiently to delight every customer. You’ll coach and develop a strong team, manage inventory, and drive sales — all while creating an outstanding in-store experience.

What You'll Do

• Lead, train, and motivate the grocery department team.
• Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stocking, rotating, and facing products.
• Maintain high standards for cleanliness, organization, and food safety.
• Collaborate with other department managers to implement promotions and store initiatives.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and share your product expertise with shoppers.
• Monitor budgets, control expenses, and optimize sales opportunities.

Work Environment

• Active, hands-on leadership role in a vibrant, customer-facing retail space.
• Work across departments and in varying temperatures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

What You Bring

• Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred.
• Previous retail management or supervisory experience in grocery or a related industry.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of food safety and handling.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and lead by example.
• Reliable, flexible, and ready to work morning, afternoon, and weekend shifts.
