Job Description

Akkodis is currently seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer to join our client’s pharmaceutical manufacturing team. This position plays a key role in optimizing preventive and predictive maintenance strategies for manufacturing equipment, ensuring operational reliability without compromising safety or compliance. The engineer will identify improvement opportunities, lead small capital projects, and collaborate across teams to drive efficiency and performance.

Pay range: $70-80/hour

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Strategy & Reliability

• Develop and implement preventive/predictive maintenance plans for equipment and facilities.
• Monitor equipment performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Partner with Engineering to assess long-term maintenance needs for new projects.
• Lead lifecycle management for industrial assets, including upgrades and replacements.

Continuous Improvement & Troubleshooting

• Analyze equipment failures and coordinate corrective actions with maintenance teams.
• Conduct root cause analyses and implement reliability improvements.
• Prioritize reliability engineering (RE) and continuous improvement (CI) initiatives.

Technology & Data Analytics

• Support implementation of predictive maintenance technologies.
• Use data tools (e.g., OSI PI, SEEQ) for statistical analysis and performance tracking.

Spare Parts & Inventory Optimization

• Evaluate criticality and stocking strategies for spare parts.
• Recommend inventory adjustments to support reliability goals.

Metrics & KPIs

• Equipment and facility reliability
• Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), deviation rates, and discard rates
• Reduction in emergency corrective work orders
• Spare parts inventory performance

Qualifications

• Experience with equipment lifecycle analysis and maintenance strategies
• Familiarity with systems such as formulation tanks, autoclaves, filling lines, inspection machines, packaging lines, utilities, and facilities
• Strong analytical and project management skills
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders
